What the Dickens is going on at Holiday Inn Brighton - Seafront

The 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens Birthday was celebrated in style at the Holiday Inn Brighton - Seafront on 7th February with the unveiling of a plaque in his honour.
The writer was a frequent guest of the Bedford Hotel, which occupied the site before the Holiday Inn.  A plaque was orignally fitted to the Bedford hotel but was destroyed when the hotel burned down in 1964.
We were very proud to welcome Ian Dickens, Charles Dickens great-great-grandson, to unveil the new plaque.

“Great place to stay on a trip to Brighton” - Reviewed 24 August 2011

We stayed here when my daughter moved into her new Uni house, booked through late rooms, we could have got a better deal booking directly. We had a family room which was a good size, the bathroom looked a little tired in places but otherwise good standard of accomodation. My son was on the sofa bed and he said it was comfortable, if we had booked directly we could have upgraded for a little bit more and next time we would go with this option, Larger room, better toiletries etc....but all in all recommended.Parking was £ 18.00 overnight and they said we could leave the car there the following day until we left brighton, parking is so expensive that as the car was there for nearly 24 hours it was a pretty good deal.

“Excellent hotel in an excellent location” - Reviewed 5 May 2011
We spent two nights at the hotel and were inpressed with the room size and facilities and the hotel location. Staff on the reception desk were cheerful and helpful. We will return!
